I used Class for Zoom as part of my educational curriculum. We used it to have a more inclusive and engaging online class. The business problem it addresses is how to engage a large number of people in an online classroom. When meetings are online, it can often be hard to get people to stay focused and engaged and Class for Zoom aims to tackle that problem.
  • Good UI
  • More customizable breakout rooms
  • Built in features such as quizzes
  • Can be complicated to set up for less tech savvy people
  • Sometimes audio quality is poor
Class for Zoom is great for anyone trying to add a bunch of quality-of-life improvements to their zoom experience, especially for meetings with one main arbiter and many listeners. On the other hand, I think if you are looking for features more suited to group meetings, then there are likely other software products that would fit that niche better. Most of the features here are more targeted to teacher/student interactions.
  • Enhanced Breakout Rooms.
  • Ability to track attendance and participation.
  • Good security.
  • Has allowed for more engaging lectures causing more student to want to return.
  • Saves time trying to set up similar functionality without the software.
Class for Zoom was a very clear improvement over just plain Zoom. The additional features make for a much richer experience overall. One main reason Class for Zoom stood out over other similar products is how seamlessly everything was integrated together. This is very important as the more clunky it feels the less engaging the meeting will feel and Class for Zoom did a great job at not feeling clunky.

It is an easy-to-use video conferencing program that allows for multiple participants, audio and video sharing, screen sharing, working on a whiteboard, and recording. I use it weekly for various team meetings along with training. With Class for Zoom, we are able to meet as a team and break out into smaller groups to connect on a more intimate level. From there, we can reconnect as a larger group to share findings within our smaller groups.
  • Easy to use
  • Clear connections
  • Great features
  • Audio connection - sometimes it is difficult for less tech-savvy individuals to hook up their computer audio to Zoom.
Great for live class sessions and video conferences. We use it weekly for our team meetings to share PowerPoint decks and for training sessions where we use breakout rooms.

[I feel] It is less appropriate for quick check-ins (10 min or less). I prefer to use Google Hangouts for quick check-ins because of the accessibility and easiness of connection. We utilize Google Hangouts, so it is much simpler to send a video chat for Google Meet than it is to retrieve my Zoom link and input it within the chat.
  • Chat
  • Q&A
  • Multiple hosts
  • Breakout rooms
  • Polls
  • It has positively impacted our product since we have live virtual class sessions every week
  • We are able to meet as an entire company (5,000+ employees)
Class for Zoom has more features and typically has a better quality of connection. Class for Zoom also has a nicer layout of participants on screen. I also like how you can view the participant list and have the ability to mute others who accidentally come off of mute. It also typically runs smoother and has been internet connection than Google Meet.
